2006 Badacsony Merlot, Balaton, Hungary

Prominent notes of mixed pickles on the nose, red and black berries, hint of coffee and some chocolate, light herbaceous and smoky notes, oak. Full-bodied on the palate, sweetish and creamy, very ripe red fruit, coffee and chocolate, sugar candy, some malted notes, mature tannins, only slightly astringent, very creamy with noticeable alcohol, warm style, quite jammy, good finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2013+. What our ratings mean
