2014 Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT Teroldego Superiore "Gran Masetto", Trentino, Italy

Firm, fairly mature nose, light smoky oak, earthy notes, ripe, partly dried black berries, hint ofg tobacco, peppery traces, some dried herbs and mineral traces. Riper, partly dried and preserved sweetish, dark fruit on the palate, light nutty oak and some smoked bacon, peppery spice, hint of coffee in the background, integrated, sandy tannins, good substance and persistence, noticeable high alcohol, but well integrated, herbaceous traces in the background, some sugar candy and some depth, toasted notes very good finish with fairly sweet, preserved fruit.
