2013 Barolo DOCG Conca, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly tart, slightly dried floral nose, red and some black berries, hint of juniper and earthy notes. Partly canned and candied looking, quite juicy fruit with some cocoa, licorice and cardamom, on the palate also juniper again, with some laurel and dried floral nuances, full-bodied and slightly creamy, mature-sandy tannins, good persistence, not always deep, very good good, very slightly jammy, slightly warm finish with sweetish spicy notes.
