2015 Chianti Classico DOCG Dofana, Tuscany, Italy

Slightly greasy scent of more red than black berries with tobacco, dried herbaceous, peppery and mineral notes. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit, slightly buttery and caramel notes, some warmth, some pepper, herbs and dried flowers, mature tannins, persistent, quite powerful, lots of cream, very good finish with warm red fruit and spice.

Editor note: Very slightly developed nose of ripe, partly preserved red berries, plums and cherries with dried-floral and slightly peppery-spicy notes. Clear, straightforward, elegantly juicy fruit with some bite, a little black tea in the background, nutty and earthy tones, fine, youthful tannins, certain sustainability, a hint of citrus zest, quite elegant style, a little salt in the background, hint of dry herbs and rock candy, good to very good finish with bite and pull.
