Firm and deep, pure-toned scent of black berries and cherries with slightly herbal, tobacco and nutty aromas as well as spicy notes. Very firm, tart, juicy dark fruit, nutty aromas, some wood and roasting, peppery and spicy aromas, dense and persistent, in the background mineral, a hint of tar, has strength, but also bite and freshness, tobacco nuances, good depth, very good, firm, multi-layered finish. Significantly more impressive than the apparently slightly impaired first sample.

Best to drink: Mitte 2020 bis 2032+. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Translate to English Sehr fester, herber Duft mit frischen kirschigen und schwarzbeerigen Aromen, ätherisch-kräuterigen Tönen, Tabak, Granatapfel, Pfeffer, Speck und Teer sowie floralen und ganz leicht fleischigen Tönen. Fest, herb und kräftig im Mund, noch komplett unentwickelte schwarze und rote Frucht, Kakaonoten, Wacholder und ätherische Kräuter, rauchig-speckige Töne, gewürzige Anklänge, Kaffee und Kakao, merklicher, wärmender Alkohol, sehr präsentes, feinsandiges Tannin, etwas Säurebiss, ein Hauch Zitruszesten, gewisse Tiefe, salzige Mineralik, sehr guter Abgang mit reifem Saft, leichtem Bitter, viel Würze und wieder Alkoholwärme.
