2004 Maremma Toscana IGT perenzo, Tuscany, Italy

Lots of oak on the nose, malted and herbaceous notes, behind this mixed berries and cherries as well as some pepper. Lots of oak again on the palate, roasted notes and some smoked meat, quite juicy fruit, again some pepper, medium-fine, slightly dry tannins, very full-bodied and creamy, notes of tobacco, smoke and dark chocolate, medium depth, quite astringent on the finish.
