Slightly subdued cherry and plum fruit on the nose, some brittle notes of old oak. Quite firm on the palate, clean, preserved cherry fruit, some bitter almonds in the background, austere, astringent tannins make the wine appear hard, not a lot of substance, but fairly fresh and has quite good presence, slightly juicy on an attractive finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2008. What our ratings mean
