Tart nose, light smoky notes, black berries and light plummy notes, toasted oak, some dried herbs and earthy notes. Ripe, partly preserved, warm fruit on the palate, prominent nutty oak, some cocoa and coffee, fairly prominent sandy, slightly astringent tannins, smoky and toasted notes, light herbaceous notes, light earthy notes in the background, hint of bacon, fairly persistent, good substance, slightly rustic style, peppery notes, slightly rough and astringent oak tannins on a good to very good ripe, juicy, spicy finish.
