2011 Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva Berardenga, Tuscany, Italy

Smoky and nutty aroma of ripe black berries and some bread crust with some herbs, tar and a hint of blood. Tart, somewhat developed, dark fruit with taut, fine tannins and noticeable acidity, slightly smoky and hints of toasty aromas, again some bread crust, persistent and quite dense on the palate, salt in the background, traces of liquorice, good depth, delicately bacony and peppery nuances, very good, taut, tart and spicy finish with traction. Has developed very much to its advantage.
