2017 Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva "Rancia", Tuscany, Italy

Clear, relatively cool, firm aroma of black and red berries with hints of cherry, a hint of pomegranate and a little herbs and tobacco with mineral nuances. Ripe, firm, juicy fruit, slightly smoky notes, dried herbs, distinctly salty and also a little peppery spice, persistent, a hint of tobacco and roast, fine sandy tannins, plenty of grip, good depth, very good, firm, tart, juicy and spicy finish with coffee notes and again intense minerality. Needs time.
