2014 Spätburgunder Landwein Steinwerk, Baden, Germany

Nutty, spicy oak on the nose, ripe red berries, some tobacco and earthy notes. Slender, tart fruit on the palate, yeasty and smoky oak, dried vegetal and herbaceous notes, fine sandy tannins, good persistence, light acid bite, fairly cool style, a touch of salt, good, tart finish.
