Very deep, youthful garnet. Intense, deep nose, red and black berry preserves, plums, coconut flakes, cedar wood and minerals. Very firmly structured in the mouth, fruit as yet undeveloped, lots of very well integrated tannins, still fairly restrained, but very deep and persistent on the palate, complex, very powerful, more cedar wood and minerals, veryfirm structure on a very long finish. One of the great Riojas of the modern age. Needs lots of time to mature, and may well still improve.

Best to drink: 2007-2018. What our ratings mean
