2001 D.O.Ca Rioja Reserva Fincas de Ganuza, La Rioja, Spain

Black berries and dried prunes on the nose, cherries, light malted notes, some licorice and floral notes, slightly spicy cedary notes. Fairly prominent oak on the palate, tart roasted notes, sandy tannins, with some partly hidden dark fruit, not a lot of real depth, hints of coffee and some cedary notes, slightly noticeable alcohol, attractive finish.
