2003 D.O.Ca Rioja Reserva Remírez de Ganuza, La Rioja, Spain

Loads of ripe, dark fruit on the nose, preserved black berries and cherries, some coffee, rum punch and dark chocolate. Quite a cool style, firm, juicy fruit on the palate, dark roasted notes in the background, some more coffee, fairly prominent, quite fine tannins, polished style, medium persistence and depth, full-bodied, still youthful, elegantly juicy on a good finish.
