2007 Salento IGT Negroamaro F, Apulia, Italy

Nose still closed, dominated by oak, light smoky notes, berries and some cedary notes in the background. Fairly cool in spite of the noticeable alcohol, supple preserved red berry fruit on the palate, delicately sweet oak, chocolate and vanilla, some cocoa, has some substance and depth, slightly prominent tannins, still needs some time, spicy, very light bitter-sweet notes, cedary touch on a good long finish.
