Modena DOC secco Ancestrale, Emilia Romagna, Italy

Cool, sourish, slightly floral and delicately yeasty nose, red berries, citrus and apple notes, nutty notes, prominent toadstool herbs. Tart-juicy, tight-knit fruit with nutty, noticeably yeasty and dried vegetal notes, lively mousse, noticeable acid bite, still slightly astringent tannins, a hint of gum, also floral and spicy notes, hint of bacon, in the background also salt, persistent and quite persistent complex, still rather undeveloped, very good, firm and tart-juicy finish with plenty of grip.
