2006 Barolo DOCG Riserva Cannubi, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly open, slightly muted nose, some matt fruity aromas, undergrowth, tobacco and wilted leaves. Slightly more juicy on the palate than the nose would lead one to expect, fine sandy, slightly astringent tannins, slightly creamy with slightly noticeable warm alcohol, herbaceous and dried floral notes, malted traces and a hint of iodine, fairly persistent, some tar, good, tart, slightly astringent, alcoholic finish.
