2013 Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore, Piedmont, Italy

Light dried floral and nutty notes on the nose, tarry traces, mixed berries, cherries and a hint of watermelon, dried floral, herbaceous and delicate nutty traces. Clear, fairly cool, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, elegant nutty and herbaceous aromas, light bite, youthful, fine sandy tannins, persistent, some tobacco in the background, dried mushrooms, salty notes, hint of cocoa, fairly firm structure, peppery traces and some spicy cocoa on a verxy good juicy finish.
