2013 Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Dried vegetal and herbaceous notes on the nose, tarry traces, partly preserved red and black berries, some licorice and chocolate, dried floral notes, old oak and iodine. Tart fruit on the palate, still slightly muted, spicy, light malted notes, earthy notes, fairly prominent oak and fine sandy tannins, yeasty traces, some substance and persistence, hint of tobacco and leathery traces in the background, nutty aromas, hint of juniper, good to very good tart finish.
