Tart nose, vegetal and herbaceous notes, peppery traces, partly dried red and a few black berries, nutty aromas, tarry traces and some licorice. Dry, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, prominent nutty oak, with almonds and peanuts, persistent, full-bodied, fairly firm structure, hint of tea, some tobacco and licorice, some more almonds, elegant acid bite, integrated, fairly youthful tannins, hint of smoked bacon, salty notes in the background, very good firm finish.
