2016 Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken Silberlack, Rheingau, Germany

Cool nose, light vegetal and earthy notes, delicate floral traces, restrained yellow fruit, green bacon, some cinnamon flowers, chervil, tart mineral notes. Firm, juicy, slightly off-dry fruit on the palate, yeasty, vegetal and herbaceous notes, hint of bacon and white pepper, very elegant acidity, persistent and concentrated, prominent mineral notes, fairly grippy, still largely undeveloped, elegant nutty traces in the background, some depth, floral traces on a very good firm, juicy, yeasty, minerally finish.
