Amarena cherries and some cassis on the nose, herbaceous and light earthy notes, some chocolate. Medium-bodied on the palate, but not particularly persistent, polished, cool, slightly dissolute fruit, preserved cherries and red currants, light herbaceous notes, hint of dried prunes, some fairly prominent, fine-grained but markedly astringent tannins, light nutty notes and some coffee on an attractive finish.
