2018 P.G.I. Peloponnese Agiorgitiko-Syrah, Peloponnese / Πελοπóννησος, Greece

Astringent, slightly dried, planty scent of black berries and a little cherry with peppery spice, a hint of bacon and nutty wood notes. Juicy and powerful in the mouth, clear, very ripe fruit with a little bite and lots of crumbly tannin, slightly chocolaty aromas on the palate, a hint of tobacco and smoke, good substance and persistence, noticeable alcohol warmth, hinted at peppery spice and tarry notes, very good finish with ripe, warm juice
