2015 Barolo DOCG San Giovanni, Piedmont, Italy

Clear, distinctly floral and a hint of undergrowth with red and a little black berries with a hint of liquorice and tobacco. Clear, tart, relatively dark fruit, nutty, tobacco and earthy tones, firm, quite fine tannin, some acid bite, vegetable and earthy tones, good persistence and some depth, some salt, very good, tart, still slightly drying finish. Must mature a little more.

Best to drink: Mitte 2020 bis 2028+. What our ratings mean
