2009 Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC Cabernet Franc, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Slightly meaty nose, blackcurrants, blueberries and sour cherries, hint of citrus, herbaceous notes. Full-bodied, polished, slightly cool fruit on the palate, herbaceous notes, chocolate, fine sandy tannins, fairly lively acidity and some carbon dioxide, toasted oak and some malted notes, fairly persistent, noticeable alcohol, fairly well inte3grated, still youthful, good finish.
