2005 Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Nose still restless, slightly closes, herbaceous notes, partly preserved and partly dried red berries and plums, light spicy roasted notes, light lactic and volatile notes. Straightforward, fairly juicy red fruit on the palate, quite spice, delicate roasted traces, fine sandy tannins, earthy notes, very good persistence, mineral notes and wilted leaves, has some depth, still youthful, touch of tobacco and peat, very firm and lively, very good finish.
