1999 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, Tuscany, Italy

Very ripe, quite accessible plummy nose, notes of preserved fruit and rubber. Medium body, fairly cool style, oak dominates the wine, chunky tannins, delicate fruit of plums and berry preserves in the background, slightly sweet, but also blunt, otherwise attractive finish.
