, The maturity of the wines varies with each vintage, a small part matures in steel, the larger in small wooden barrels (barrique and tonneau). Basically, however, no new barrels are used. Premium wines include wines from vineyards with very old stocks. The "Damaschito - Aglianico del Vulture" comes from grapes from a single vineyard, the "Maschito" with 60 year old vines. This matures in large wood for 18 to 24 months. The "Daginestra - Aglianico del Vulture" comes from 70-year-old vines in the "Ginestra" location; it also matures in small wood for 18 to 24 months. With the "Grifalco - Aglianico del Vulture" named after the winery, the maturation period also varies depending on the vintage; a small part lies in steel, the larger part in small, used wood.
