2005 Welschriesling Trockenbeerenauslese süß, Burgenland, Austria

Firm, concentrated smell of black tea, some tobacco and herbs with dried yellow-fruity flavours, some iodine, candy and dried floral tones. Tart and sweet at the same time in the mouth, again a lot of black tea, some tobacco and in addition tart walnut tones, dried fruit, some iodine and dried herbs, concentrated and lasting on the palate, deep, quite complex, creamy and at the same time a little grippy on the palate, a breath coffee, a lot of rock candy and a little dark honey, seems timeless, long, creamy-sweet and tart-spicy finish. Considerably more convincing than the obviously impaired first sample
