2013 Merlot trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Tart nose, light dried vegetal notes, some undergrowth, partlydried black and red berries, hint of tobacco and light dried floral traces. Fairly tart, partly driedfruit on the palate, earthy notes, some oak, fine, sandy, very slightly brittle tannins, good substance and persistence, noticeable warm alcohol, dried vegetal notes, jammy traces, sweetish spicy and toasted notes, slightly warm again on a very good, slightly jammy finish.

Editor note: Light vegetal notes on the nose, mixed berries, hint of tobacco, herbaceous traces, some undergrowth, earthy and mineral notes. Ripe, juicy, firm fruit on the palate, light toasted, nutty, spicy oak, some cocoa and coffee, herbaceous aromas, hint of citrus zests, integrated, fairly youthful tannins, full body, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, but also has cool salty mineral notes, nut butter in the background, very good, ripe, juicy finish with toasted, spicy oak.
