2004 Chablais Aigle AOC Aigle les Murailles, Vaud, Switzerland

Very mature nose, honeydew melon, dried apples and pumpkin, light nutty notes and just a hint of oak. Clearly mature again on the palate, but still has some life, slightly creamy fruit, very elegant acidity and still a touch of carbon dioxide, light nutty notes and again some light spicy oak, elegant tart maturation notes, some mineral traces in the background, quite powerful, appears more alcoholic than it is, good persistence, good finish. In spite of the prominent maturation notes, the wine is more attractive than it was in its youth.
