The estate is located in the village Obermarkersdorf at the foot of the Manhartsberg near Retz in the northeast of the Lower Austrian winegrowing area Weinviertel, In the mid-1960s, Herbert Studeny senior founded a wine trading company. From 1986 he started to focus on quality with reduced yields. Today he is responsible for the area Weingarten. The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vineyards in, for example, the vineyards Atschbach, Nußberg, Sündlasberg and Triftberg.
