2013 VR Alentejano Syrah Reserva, Cem Reis, Alentejo, Portugal

Tart, tart, slightly herbaceous nose, sour cherries and more dark berries, nutty, tobacco, fleshy and tarry notes. Juicy, ripe, partly preserved fruit, smoky and slightly greasy notes, some dried herbs and tobacco, good persistence on the palate, delicately sweetish and slightly warm, some alcohol, some bite, floral nuances, goes a little in the jammy direction, fine-sandy tannins, again a little tar and tobacco, good to very good, again greasy finish.
