2014 Assmannshausen Höllenberg Spätburgunder trocken Grosses Gewächs, Cabinetkeller, Rheingau, Germany

Firm nose, dried vegetal notes and a hint of tobacco, black and some red berries, dried floral traces, some aubergine, peppery traces, mineral notes in the background. Clear, elegant, juicy, ripe, polished fruit on the palate, predominantly red fruit, has both cool and warm elements, fine tannins, delicate acid bite, persistent, moderate oak, hint of tobacco, mineral notes in the background, good substance, not at all heavy, still young, touch of dried flowers, some bite, slightly warm and partly preserved fruit again on a very good juicy, slightly salty finish.
