2006 Villány-Siklós Kékfrankos trocken, Südliches Transdanubien, Hungary

Nose not totally clear with some volatile notes, black berries and preserved sour cherries, herbaceous notes, reminiscent of rum punch, perfumed oak. Cool, tart style, noticeable alcohol on the palate, prominent oak, vegetal notes, hardly any fruit, astringent tannins, not a lot of real substance or depth, tart on a slightly alcoholic finish.
