2004 Villány-Siklós trocken J.M., Südliches Transdanubien, Hungary

Slightly sharp nose with light lactic and volatile notes, black and some red berries, vegetal and earthy notes, smoky oak. Tart, slightly diffuse earthy and vegetal notes on the palate, dusty tannins, vegetal notes and restrained fruit, quite muted, rather old-fashioned, has some substance, fairly persistent, slightly blunt tannins as well as fairly prominent earthy and vegetal notes on the finish.

Editor note: Firm nose with black and some red berries, plums, some coconut and dark chocolate, light smoky notes and dried flowers. Fairly cool, light-bodied style, prominent spicy oak and restrained fruit on the palate, medium-fine astringent tannins, vegetal notes, not a lot of real substance or depth, astringent finish.
