Black berries and some plums on the nose, braised bell peppers and spice, earthy and mineral notes, light cedary notes, spicy oak. Fairly tart dark fruit on the palate, earthy notes and oak, more bell peppers, slightly blunt touch of potato, fairly prominent dusty tannins, medium body and persistence, tart, slightly dusty notes on an attractive to good finish. Has developed more positively than expected.

Editor note: Preserved and partly dried black berries and some plums on the nose, coconut and cocoa, prominent roasted notes and spicy oak. Relatively cool style, dark fruit on the palate, also loads of oak, light smoky notes, dusty, astringent tannins, elegant acid bite, not a lot of real depth or substance, tart earthy notes, attractive finish.
