2006 Villány-Siklós trocken J.M., Südliches Transdanubien, Hungary

Light nutty notes on the nose, ripe black berries and some plums, hint of tobacco, light toasted notes, red bell peppers, earthy notes. Ripe, polished, juicy dark fruit on the palate, more red bell peppers, tobacco and moderate oak, elegant bite, integrated tannins, tarry traces in the background, fairly firm structure, salty mineral notes, some depth, very good juicy and slightly spicy finish.

Editor note: Translate to English Herber Duft nach teils eingemachten gemischten Beeren und Kirschen mit kräuterigen und deutlich mineralischen Tönen. Auch im Mund herbe, dennoch saftige Frucht, präsente Tannine, erdige bis mineralische und etwas altholzige Noten, getrocknet-pflanzliche Anklänge, gute Nachhaltigkeit, hat Griff, sehr guter Abgang.

Editor note: Tart herbaceous nose, earthy and mineral notes, sour cherries and blackcurrants, delicate hint of red berries. Tart and juicy on the palate, clear fruit, prominent herbaceous notes, slightly earthy mineral notes, very fine fruit tannins, persistent and firm, has some depth, still youthful, medium-bodied, has fairly good substance, elegant style, persistent, herbaceous and mineral notes on a very good juicy finish. In significantly better condition than the slightly oxidized first sample.

Editor note: Slightly open and slightly diffuse nose, red and black berries, delicate earthy notes and some tobacco. Fairly cool fruit on the palate, tart vegetal and earthy notes, old oak, fine dusty tannins, fairly persistent, light acid bite, earthy notes, slightly muted and astringent on a good finish.
