Editor note: Light meaty and earthy notes on the nose, hint of tobacco, black berries and a few sour cherries, light dried vegetal and earthy notes. Clear, polished, straightforward fruit on the palate, hint of bacon, some bell peppers and dried vegetal notes, some bite, fine sandy tannins, still slightly astringent, fairly persistent, earthy notes, nutty traces, good to very good finish. Needs some time to mature.
Best to drink: Mid-2017-2021+

The vineyard is located in the south Hungary close to the border too Croatia It is named after the town of the same name (until 1999, the area was called Villány-Siklós). The vineyards cover about 2,300 hectares of vineyards. In a continental climate with Mediterranean influences, with long, hot summers and cold winters, the vines grow on predominantly lime and dolomite-rich soils with loess and clay deposits. To the city of Villány it is mainly the red wines Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc, Kékfrankos ( Blaufränkisch ), Kék Portugizi ( Blue Portuguese )...
