Editor note: Hazy orange colour. Firm, yeasty nose, citrus notes, prominent floral aromas, nutty traces, some provencale herbs and mineral notes. Fir, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, prominent yeasty aromas, light vegetal, herbaceous and floral notes, touch of white pepper, lively acidity, fairly prominent fine tannins, has grip and bite, some depth, persistent, still young, vibrant, full-bodied, but appears quite light-footed, chalkyand salty mineral notes, clear contours, very good firm, tart finish.

The wine region is in the south Hungary close to the border too Croatia and is named after the city of the same name (until 1999 the area was called Villány-Siklós). The vineyards cover around 2,300 hectares of vineyards. Under a continental climate with Mediterranean influences, with long, hot summers and cold winters, the vines grow on soils that are mainly limestone and dolomite with loess and loam layers. Around the city of Villány it is mainly the red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc, Kékfrankos ( Blaufränkisch ), Kék Portugizi ( Blue Portuguese )...
