2006 Irpinia IGT Aglianico Jumara, Campania, Italy

Preserved red and some black berries on the nose, cherries and plums, dried herbs and spices, light roasted notes. Clear, polished, elegant and juicy fruit on the palate, moderate oak, light roasted notes, quite fine tannins, good persistence, harmonious and pleasant to drink, good to very good finish.

Editor note: Preserved black and red berries on the nose, spicy with light floral notes, hints of herbs and sweetish spice, traces of candied orange. Slightly tart on the palate, some more berry fruit, prominent blood oranges, light roasted oak, chocolate, slightly astringent tannins, not particularly deep, but quite refreshing and lively, attractive to good finish.
