2006 Irpinia IGT Emè, Campania, Italy

Slightly alcoholic nose, jammy red berry fruit, some plums, floral notes and earthy traces. Oaky and astringent on the palate, some more jammy fruit in the background, earthy notes, fine but nevertheless brittle tannins, sandy, not particularly deep, noticeable alcohol on an astringent finish.
