2001 Barbera del Monferrato DOC Barbera Superiore Barabba, Piedmont, Italy

Translate to English Gereifter, kräuteriger und etwas holzwürziger Duft nach teils getrockneten und kandierten gemischten Beeren und Kirschen mit gewürzigen Aromen. Klare, herbe, recht saftige Frucht, präsentes, feines Tannin und etwas Säurebiss, gute Nachhaltigkeit am Gaumen, erdige und pflanzliche Töne, etwas Zement, hat Griff, tabakige Nuancen, gewisse Mineralik, sehr guter, herber und dennoch saftiger Abgang. Hält sich ausgezeichnet.

Editor note: Fairly mature nose, preserved and dried cherries, mixed berries and plums, some tarry notes, herbal candy, roasted notes. Quite firm and juicy on teh palate, again fairly mature, ripe fruit, roasted spicy oak, herbal candy, mineral notes in the background, very good persistence, full-bodied, has some depth, very good finish.
