2004 Barbera del Monferrato DOC Barbera Superiore Rossore, Piedmont, Italy

Editor note: Blueberries, some raspberries and cherries on the nose, light roasted notes, herbaceous notes and some herbal candy. Firm, tart and juicy on the palate, light roasted oak, slightly sandy and slightly astringent tannins, more herbs and some herbal candy and licorice, prominent acid bite, full-bodied, but cool style, elegant tart notes on a good finish. Needs time to mature.
