Editor note: Light dried herbs and flowers on the nose, black berries, red bell peppers and some cherries, oregano and black olives, hint of bergamotte, tobacco, cedary traces, earthy notes. Ripe, partly preserved fruit on the palate, spicy bell peppers, hint of tobacco, nutty and earthy notes, more bergamotte, fairly firm, integrated tannins, some cocoa in the background, slightly jammy style, ethereal traces, light floral notes, delicate bitter coffee notes, powerful alcohol, very good, slightly jammy finish.
Best to drink: To 2024+

Hungary has a very old viticulture culture, because wines from Sopron and Eger were already known in the 13th century. The Greeks led the viticulture in Hungary from the southeast the Danube and its tributary Tisza upwards and the Romans from the west across the Pannonian plain to Lake Balaton.
