2011 DHC Villány Merlot Dry Koh I Noor, Ultimate Selection, Südliches Transdanubien, Hungary

Light dried floral notes on the nose, hint of tobacco, black berries, some undergrowth, peppery traces, black olives and noticeable alcohol. Ripe, fairly tart and firm fruit on the palate, suprising acid bite, fine sandy tannins, prominent warm alcohol, hint of citrus zests, some cocoa in the background, coffee and a touch of provencale herbs, good persistence, some depth, salty tracesm hint of bergamotte, very good, firm, juicy, spicy finish, with powerful alcohol.
