2001 Rech Herrenberg Spätburgunder trocken JS/Alte Reben, Ahr, Germany

Mineral notes and spicy oak, aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries and some plums, with a delicate floral note. Clean, straightforward fruit, at this stage a little dominated by spicy oak, ripe tannins, dominated by red berries on the palate, good breeding and depth, very round and already very enjoyable to drink, very good persistence, has power and length.
