2008 Wachau Ried Loibenberg Grüner Veltliner Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Translate to English Fester, vegetabiler, tabakiger und sehr mineralischer Duft mit Kernobstaromen, etwas Melonen und Avocado mit pfeffrigen Anklängen. Dicht, kräftig und saftig im Mund, reife, würzige Frucht mit vegetabilen Aromen, etwas nussiger Würze und wieder auch pfeffrigen Tönen, nachhaltig am Gaumen, griffig, kräuterig-pflanzlich und sehr mineralisch, ausgezeichnete Substanz und gewisse Tiefe, kerniger Stil, tabakig, zeigt deutlich Herkunft, noch eher jung, lebendige Säure und zarte Kohlensäure, sehr guter, griffiger, mineralischer und pfeffriger Abgang mit reifer, herber Frucht. Hat seit der letzten Verkostung vor zweieinhalb Jahren erheblich zugelegt.

Editor note: Delicate tart notes on the nose, citrus and pomaceous fruit, herbs and spices, mineral notes. Clear, juicy, creamy fruit on the palate, elegant tart spicy vegetal notes, elegant acidity, fairly persistent, earthy and mineral notes, light tannic touch, quite full-bodied, slightly muted on a good to very good finish.

Editor note: Fairly firm nose, delicately tart, mineral notes, spicy hay, citrus and pomaceous fruit, some peaches. Clear and firm on the palate, elegantly juicy, ripe fruit, prominent herbaceous notes, spicy, earthy mineral notes, very elegant acidity, fairly lively, persistent, has some depth, slightly muted, quite full-bodied, medium length.
