Tart, smoky to bacony and somewhat earthy nose with predominantly black berry notes as well as woody and undergrowth tones. Straightforward, tart and juicy, quite taut fruit, slightly smoky and also woody again, peppery-spicy and tobacco tones, a little sandy tannin, black olives and Provence herbs in the background, a hint of cocoa, some persistence, good to very good, only a little drying finish. Needs to mature a little more.
