Editor note: Slightly warm, firm and fairly deep nose, ripe, partly candied yellow fruit, touch of yellow spice, nutty, herbaceous and mineral notes. Ripoe, creamy, juicy fruit on the palate, yellow spice, prominent mineral notes, herbaceous traces, persistent, concentrated, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, peppery traces, moderate acidity, good depth, still young, very full-bodied, hint of caramel on a very good creamy finish.
Best to drink: Mid-2019-2028+

One of the eight specific wine growing areas in the Austrian province or generic wine growing area of Lower Austria. It is crossed by the Danube, on whose northern bank slopes many of the most terraced vineyards are located. The partly very steep vineyards are among the steepest vineyards in Austria.
